I try not to buy a ton of fast fashion, but the kids’ clothes at Zara truly can’t be beaten, especially the girls’ section. The designs manage to be simple but stylish, a combo that seems straightforward but, with kids’ clothes, is surprisingly hard to nail down; it can often go saccharine or overly designed or too straightforward, and Zara walks the line between the two with aplomb. Below are a few favorites I have my eye on for Alice and Arthur. Though they sell out like hotcakes, but I love the reversible jacket and buckle loafers.

Nordstrom has everything from socks to hats and everything in between. I live nearby and their kids’ department geniusly gives out free balloons for tiny visitors, so it’s become a neighborhood must-stop for my crew which always results in us picking up things we need, like fuzzy Ugg boots, and some things we don’t need but definitely want like this carry-on they can ride on through the airport.
